Name those mystery plugs
I'm guessing traction control unit for pic #1.
Not sure about the others.
I'm having a hard time visualizing where in the engine pay #1 and #2 pics are taken.
Is this an X300? or an XJ40?
Cheers

So Am I missing a traction control unit (obviously)
Is it necessary to run???
the three pronged plug is behind the driver side headlight
and is very close to the third pic which seems to be some kinda ground from the hood to the chasis

As I dont know where you are in the world, I will say what I know from working for Jaguar.
The cars are basically made with ONE wiring loom, RHD or LHD obviously vary in those specific areas.
The specification for the car, and market, and ORIGINAL owners build requests, have certain items fitted and plugged into their respective sockets, The balance of the sockets/plugs are just left dangling.
Example:
A 3.2ltr engined car has a mechanical automatic transmission, so some plugs for the trans will be unused.
The 3.2ltr cars DID NOT get traction control, so any plugs related to that will be unused.
Some cars/markets got Premium Sound, some did not, so there will be plugs and sockets dangling in those without.
My base XJ6 has NO headlamp washers etc, so spare sockets in that area.
The list goes on, but I think the gist of it is plain.
Might pay to add your vehicle specs, and your place of abode, as this will assist us all in answering with proper info for your market/spec car.
