oil plug problem

Default oil plug problem

I just tried draining the oil and the metal hole when the bolt goes for the oil plug is slightly broken off. I can get it tight. does anyone know if I got a longer bolt can I get a seal?
ahhhhhhhh
this car is a nightmare and is costing alot of time and money
plus Im going crazy now!

im assuming he has a crack on the crankcase right where the threads for the drain plug goes.

if thats it maybe it can be welded for a quick inexpensive fix.

Yes correct
it is cracked and appears to be running down the case as well
Is it a cheap fix
Im very worried I just got the car finally running again :-(

He may be talking about the sump where the plug goes in.

If so you could try JB weld it's a 2 part metal paste, that is less than £5 on Ebay it it may get you out of trouble for a while.

if i replace the oil pan will that take care of that?

Excellent!

I also have what seems to be a oil leak up higher I posted a few pics but couldnt really see where its coming from

leak from above view beside sparkplugs

Can you take the pics a bit further out so we can see where you are talking about.

Have a look at my post regarding an oil leak, that could be the same area.
