Lower shock bushing install
So my lower shock bushing is just pounding around down there. I checked it out and the rubber is gone.
Ordered the new one. And what's the procedure for sticking that thing in there, I went to a shop today and he kinda looked at it and said that the lower A arm would need to come out and well that's not a option for me. Way to much.
It looks like It would be somewhat easy to press that bushing out.
Any thoughts?

Assuming "front" here.
I used a threaded rod (jaguar alternator adjusting rod actually), a deep socket on the OUT side for the bush or bits of to enter, and a suitable heavy washer JUST THE SAME DIAMETER AS THE STEEL BIT OF THE BUSH, on the IN side, and wound the thing up, NOT easy, but it worked, and time means nothing to me, joys of retiremnet, or as some say OLD age.
Others have "burnt" the rubber bits out, and sliced the outer sleeve and removed it that way.
Refit was similar, plenty of never sieze, and a socket just right to push on the outer sleeve section, and wound away again.
Took me all day and 6 beers, simple really. The V12 starter motor took 3 days and 24 beers, so I win either way.
