Default Need help

Hello everyone,
I'm planning to buy a new car for myself and I'm facing a challege. Went trough multiple pages and can't find corrent answer for specific model on Jaguar. Car that i want to buy is listed as " Jaguar XJ Daimler 4.0 automatic".
Could anyone tell me exact model (X300,X308 or maybe sth else). Furthermore is it any good, or should I be aware of bad engine/transmition etc. Thank you for your help and excuse my bad English.
Best regards

That is an XJ40.
It has “Sport” double headlights, not the large single rectangular headlights.
I don’t know much about XJ40s - I suggest you re-post your question in the XJ40 section.
Good luck!

That is an XJ40 manufactured from 1986 to 1994. Here's the link to the model forum:

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xj40-xj81-25/

XJ40 is the factory model code. Jaguar versions were badged as XJ6 and Daimler versions as Sovereign. The differences between Jaguar and Daimler specifications was trim only - no performance differences.

I followed over to the XJ40 section to post. It was fun to visit the "Classic" section! :-)
