Wires that connect to the altenator. There are 2 wires that go to thick threaded post , one composit plug, wich was easy to connect, but there is an extra smallercwire that was connected to one of the smaller threaded posts with nuts, which one?

Pic coming

There is 2 wires on the big B + terminal post , heavy battery cable and small that goes down to the noise supressor

The extra small wire is to the alternator small terminal ground m this comes back up from the noise suppressor.

In the above pic the small terminal to the furthest right which happens to be the same after alternator installation is electrically isolated from case ground which for better alternator performance can be better than case ground

This matches the schematic but then schematic are not always correct

I myself get them confused and someone else can pipe in after awaile if I'm not correct

The purpose of the noise suppressor is to further ( after the diode package inside the alternator does the major amount ) to smooth out the rotating from the beginning AC signal to being more DC

To test if the suppressor is not working you would tune into an AM radio station and hear engine speed vering interference
