Splice location?
Anyone know where splice PIS4 is located on a '97 XJ6?
It is shown on Figure 04.1 on wiring diagram but I can't find it on the car.
Five BG wires branch off.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks, Richard.
"Fun game" is one way to describe it. I can think of others.
The splice connects ground side, via ECM, of connections to IAT, CMPS, EGRT, and Fuel tank pressure sensor.
I made the mistake of assuming this branch was the 5 volt sensor feed. It is not.
On further inspection, and digging, I found that the tank-side sub-harness that should connect at CV1 at LH rear inner fender
was not connected and apparently had fallen behind the tank and is presently pinned against the rear bulkhead.
I assume this happened during a fuel pump replacement before I saw the car.
I am hoping I can loosen the straps and shift the tank enough to retrieve and reconnect it. I plan to attempt that today.
Then there's the erratic signals from the ECT and IAT which I initially suspected as symptoms of the splice I inquired about.
I'm now thinking this is a separate issue, possibly ECU.
This is decent car but is its history is unknown other than a SALVAGE sticker on the B-post. I also found the reason why the
Check Engine light was inoperative is spite of 9 codes: the bulb had been removed. You never know what you're going to find.
Cheers.
