Hello, I have a 1997 xj6 4.2L and I have a bunch of melted wires. Does anybody have the diagrams or some pictures of the engine harness?

There is such a schematic. Jaguar poublication S57 for S3 cars. Search the archives here.

If no luck, contact me PM and I'll seek to scan a page or so from mine and attach. Or, at least try. My e mail and Jag stuff are not "shaking hands" all that well.

And/or check your local wreckers. A simialr car there? Look ands or, buy the harness. Lilely not good enough to use as is, burt repairable or as a pattern.

There is a separate harness for the Coil and Sensors, is that the one that fried?

 

...fwiw S 57,.. Fig 24.1 is a good overall diagram for engine compartment wiring.

 

Does anyone have this good of a diagram for a S1 XJ? The location of all the connections would be a big help.
