Absolutely, I haven't had FWD since my daughters 2002 Jetta and before that a 1990 Audi 100. The Jag has traction control and is very capable in the snow. Also, the fact the 225/60/16 size which is standard is fairly tall and narrow helps as well. On my BMW 330 I have staggered 18 inch performance tires and my snow tires are -1, a square 17" setup and I have no problem in the snow with this either. Unless you are going off road RWD is as good or better than FWD. All you have to do is go practice in a parking lot to understand what your car can do. Jag does really good donuts with the TC off

I used to drive RWD cars (MGB, Firebird, Crown Vic, Ranger truck) all year round, but have become comfortable with the FWD cars just plowing through the snow with no need for snow tires- Deville and Prius.
I'll have to give the XJ6 another look. In a year or 2, I'd like to consider a late-model XJ, holding out for the AWD drive model, 2013+, prices to come down. I wonder if the 2010-2012 RWD are as capable as the x300 with snow tires.

For Sale
Hi due to an accident that no longer allows me to drive am selling.I bought the car cpo (2000) with 30k miles and have all receipts since then. major issues: emergency brake not working, probable pinion gear noise. Many new new or rebuilt parts,,interior in very good condition, extra set of wheels, all keys and fobs, manuals. it has some of the usual issues that i will discuss if interested. The engine and transmission are good. All cats have been removed and CEL is on. Massachusetts doesn't require emissions after 15 years. Finally, i'd like to thank everyone on this forum for all the help over the years, i kept this a lot longer than i originally planned, especially now that everything else has a boring resemblance to each other...............
