So I just picked up a 1995 VDP. Very stoked! I was comparing pics of mine to pics of others after noticing something odd in a picture of the engine bay. In the pic I circled a part. I found a couple other shots of the same year/model XJ6 and this part doesn't exist on them! Has it been relocated? Is it an add-on? Is the tube attached to it supposed to be draped across the engine? You wouldn't think so...

I'm a little nervous!

I haven't looked under the hood my 96 XJ6 since the last oil change, but... cruise control?

 

that would be your traction control actuatorwhich is operated via throttle cable
it was on option foryour car
