Changed oil and filter on both the X300s today.
I put Castrol magnatec in the 3.2, and Edge 5w-40 in the XJR. Both got new Jaguar filters.

After not being able to get the sump plug undone on the XJR a few weeks ago, I bought a 30mm ring spanner which is about 14-15” long. I put the car up on ramps, and with my foot on the spanner, got it loose. I let the sump drip dry overnight then finished the job this morning.
I’m going to keep a close eye on oil consumption now, as the XJR does use a small amount without leaking or blowing a smoky exhaust.
