I hate that!! £350 would hardly buy you a few spares! A nice looking car with lots of potential in the right hands. I hope the new owner looks after it.

it was in Edinburgh and im in essex so would have been a schlap to get it...but nice drive home no doubt.....after all how often do you get to drive your cars nigh on 400 miles

but yes...bargain....110k miles....pretty good history .....perfect interior.....a set of XJR wheels which i needed....and an engine which i wanted for a rebuild project.....

why is is that the deals you want are always at the diametric opposite of where ever you happen to be....and then to top it off....you get beaten to the punch by an hour....hopefully by an enthusiast and not someone who is simply going to break it for bits

yea i was pi$$ed off losing that one

It's called "Murphys' Law". Having said that, I was recently on the look out for a fairly specific outboard engine and one came up about 4+ hours away. The plus side was that I had an excuse to make a nice round trip and I got my engine!

I like the opportunity to blow out the pipes occasionally...............

No more Jags for me at the moment, as I have a donor Sovereign, but unfortunately it's a 3.2 and my daily driver is a 4.0 litre, so some parts aren't interchangeable. Still it's useful for lots of spares, like my recent steering rack swap.

I have a pair of XJR wheels, 8 inch rims that are surplus to requirements! They are not perfect, but perfectly usable! They live in Chester, Cheshire.
