Check the connections under the seat to the seat belt pretensioners.

I've had only one go-round with the SRS. Not having a scan tool that reads SRS codes or any other test equipment I was left with just checking grounds and connectors. No help.

I spotted an air bag module on Ebay for about $35. Considering a jaunt to the Jag dealer is a 120+ mile proposition, a wasted day, and minimum $120 service charge just to read the codes, the $35 used module started looking rather attractive.

I bought it, installed it....and the SRS went away !

Pure luck.

Hopefully you'll have the same.

Cheers

when seat belt buckles start wearing out, they tend to send a code. the amateur readers sold for a few hundred bucks are not going to read the code to the point of isolating the source. the computer that can read what you need costs thousands and is usually in use by pros. check with a local dealer on how much they would charge for a diagnostic or contact an independent jag shop. locating the source will save you frustration and money

There are no flash codes on early cars. PDU, WDS, IDS, SDD AutoEnginuity etc. can read all the modules from OBDII Jaguars. Only PDU or JDS are used on the OBDI cars.
