Default Overdrive not so smooth

Hello,
I noticed that when driving on the freewy in D overdrive mode the ride is not so smooth like on the other gears.
What happens is that between 2100 and 2200 rpm if I take the feet off the accelerator pedal the car shakes little bit, the same happens if I very gently press on the accelerator around 2100 rpm you feel like a trembling, a shaking behavior. It goes away as soon as you reach 2300rpm. IF you also reduce speed on 2300 or 2400rpm or any other rpm, the shaking behavior does not happen.
Could it be transmission problem or a injection problem ?
dirty injectors ? Anyway the problem is only between 2100 and 2200 rpm and only with the overdrive on freeway (not 3rd or 2nd).
thanks

Clean on transmission connector on the left side , no jacking required . The normally exasperated X300's ZF4HP24 transmission found on BMW's have a solid reputation .

The torque converter has a 'lock-up' feature that might not 'engage-disengage' smoothly on your car.

You might try a fluid drain/fill with a new filter??
Also a low fluid level can do strange things to the gearbox.

ok, before doing anything wrong, should I detach the connector and spry it with a contact cleaner ?
