parking sensors with bumper swap
Sorry if this has been asked before but I tried searching and couldn't find the answer.
I have been looking for a nice 4.0 xj8 or xjr but have since come across an x300 xjr that looks to tick all the boxes. I know they don't have the performance of the x308 xjr but I don't think ill miss it 95% of the time and have the bonus of extra reliability .
My question is since the x300 doesn't seem to come with parking sensors is there a way to make it work with x308 bumpers?
I have already read on here that the bumpers are swapable but wondered if I could get the control unit and wiring to work or if I would be better off keeping the standard bumpers and fitting a kit from the likes of fleabay.
Cheers

I had thought about the aftermarket, my dad has them on his MG and they seem to work well.
I know I could probably get away without them but with having the x-type aswell my other half seems to be getting a bit used to driver aids and I wouldnt be happy if she came back one day with a couple of modifications to the bodywork. After our last car it appears that bollards can just jump out of nowhere and walls are closer to the wings of a car than they appear
Really tempted to go and look at this xjr6 but it is over 200mls away and it needs to be a good one for that kind of distance. Going to ask the seller a few more questions before I commit.

The XJ US sedans first used the reverse parking aid system on the 2000MY car. It is a 'stand alone' system meaning it does not connect to the vehicle network like the S-Type. It only has 3 inputs, power pos/neg and reverse light wires. You then connect the 4 sensors and the speaker.
