Default Passenger seat wont go back

Hey, I have another inconvenience with my cat. Found out that passenger seat will do all the functions except go backwards. Try to find the solution, maybe anyone came across this problem before?
Thanks,
P

Welcome to the forum.
Nothing happens? Or motor runs and seat doesn't move?

nothing happens. I wonder if there is seperate motors for going forward and backwards? so probably backward motor would be the problem?

my Daimler does this - it will go forward but not back. My wife drives it, then I cannot get in.
I have to slide the seat all the way forward then keep trying the reverse switch - it will eventually work
good luck

Me too. Like Al says, just keep wiggling the switch, and it will go back. Not very scientific, but gets the job done!

Also try press-and-hold. My driver's seat has a second or two delay between switch actuation and seat response....tricky part is...whichever direction you are moving it...it continues that motion for about the same amount of lag-time when you release the switch as it took to get going when you first pressed it.

But part of why I asked if it did anything or not...there is only one motor for fore/aft, driving a flex-cable. The cable sometimes becomes disengaged from the motor or the gearbox. It is just a square cable-end, like a speedometer cable and you take the seat out, find it, and pop it back into place. But in that case, you'll hear the motor whirring away, but no movement.

Thanks for your answers guys! So today I found out how to make it work... It seems like knob has loosen contact so if I want to make it go backwards first I need to slightly push in the knob and than slide for backwards and voila it works. Hope maybe this helps someone in the future
