Power to coil
Yesterday, my 95 XJR suddenly started behaving bad,
The engine started to vibrate at all speeds and idle.
Today I ascertained that one cylinder, the number 3 from the front, had no power.
I changed this coil between other cylinders, and also changed the spark plug in this cylinder to another.
No matter what I did, the engine was not changing speed when number 3 was disconnected. The other 5 cylinders did.
I added a spark plug in the number 3 coil, to check if there was a spark. Placed it to the ground in the car with the engine running, but I couldn't see any spark.
So, my conclution is that it is no power to the contact in this coilwire. I measured the contact, and i seems OK.
Is there anybody who have a suggestion were I can look for the bad connection to this coilwire?

On paper all 6 coils get power " at all times " from one splice , jn reality there are 3 or 4 wires per splice by limited space so spaced out , I personally only heard of one person with corrosion in this area / splice
The individual coil sparks on a ground provided by the ECU by 6 separate wires
These separate 6 wires have no splice to the ECU
I was always leery of the coil connectors being on fully
And there is the common rear 2 coil connector wires swapped
