Default X300 rear seat options

Hi all, I’m looking at a few different X300s to buy and have noticed some differences between the rear seats. Were there rear seat options, and if so, which were the ‘best’? Or, what were the main differences?

First my 1995 XJ6 Sovereign
1995 XJ6 Sovereign
1995 XJ6 Sovereign

Then, a 1995 Daimler Six:
1995 Daimler Six
1995 Daimler Six

Finally, a 1994 Daimler Six:
1994 Daimler Six
1994 Daimler Six

My Sov and the ‘94 Daimler seem to have separated rear seats, whilst the ‘95 Daimler appears to have a bench. Additionally, the ‘94 Daimler seems to have a folding middle seat? Any info on the different seat options would be greatly appreciated!

If you are looking to buy an X300 the last thing I would concern myself about is the rear seat. The majority I have seen appear to have never been sat in!
Far more concerning is the state of the body, mechanicals and electrics.
As you live in the UK, I would put rust/free as your first priority.

Trust me, this is only a matter of curiosity not a deal breaker! This will be my second X300 so I’m well familiar with the rust and common mechanical and electrical issues, as my first one devolved into quite the project… I’m more interested in working out why three high-spec cars from similar years seem to have three different seat options.

In my mind from looking at these pics, the ‘95 Daimler has the worst, then ‘95 Sov, then ‘94 Daimler has the best. Seems odd that there’s three different styles, that’s all.

it's not a folding seat. There is a storage box underneath the center part.

Interesting, I had no idea that there were three different options for the rears. Is there a list of options anywhere?

The introduction of the X300 was a SWB ONLY.
Even the VDP 1995MY had a SWB.
The 1996MY onward offered the SWB and LWB options.
LWB was an added 4" to the rear seat area.
