Premium sound tweeters and subwoofer
Working on the premium sound system. My subwoofer is blown and missing one of the connections. I'm looking for suggestions on a replacement.
Also want to confirm with premium sound having tweeters in the door handles that there are not ones in the rear. I don't see two rear tweeters per side on the wiring diagram.
Thanks.

The subwoofer is a shallow dimension to not hit the fuel tank under it so a whole subwoofer replacement has to factor this in
There are repair kits to replace the diaphragm surround foam that dry rots away . this is different then the mounting foam
Keep track of your part #s if doing the repair option for the premium speakers that are different then the standard speakers ( Phillips )
There seems to be a mix on what was installed with the tweeters and the wiring may be present even though the tweeters are not
I have the standard system on a SWB 1996 Sovereign and have 4 total tweeters on the dash board and rear parcel shelf

Thanks
I was headed in the direction to repair but have second thoughts since one of the connections have broken off and the wire to the speaker on one side is gone. Of course looking at 6x9 speakers they only have one connection anyway.

I don't have the rear subwoofer but I did pull a X308 subwoofer to install for later upgrading but if I recall that X308 speaker was not compatible for some reason
I still have the spreaker in the garage somewhere

The X300 uses a Harmon Kardon sound system and the X308 uses the same for the early cars BUT an ALPINE system for the later ones.
There is a VIN SPLIT but I did not look it up.
The SUBWOOFER is a DUAL VOICE COIL unit. Both channels in one loudspeaker.

Thanks. Interesting but a little different than what I have going. I've found a speaker repair place in Colorado that says they can fix the rubber and fix the second connection (albeit with a generic connector). I'll try to remember to update this thread when I get it back.
