It's almost like the difference of a man's man and the metro sexual.

 

In my world I love the flowing line of the front end of X 300 as opposed to the abrupt squared off lines of the front end of the J 40

 

canadian_xj6 ..... I used to have a car with the name Vanden Plas after it but I can't remember if it was an Allegro or a Princess but it makes no difference to the reason for posting. I would very much liked to have found a Jaguar with the extra bits that the name Vanden Plas brings to mind but, to be honest, I never even saw a Jaguar that was fitted out like that in my search. Maybe if I had upped my starting cash limit .... !
But what I DID find on eBay was a high quality folding tray that clips over the 2 struts that support the head rest. The section that lays against the back of the front seat to support the actual tray is made of plastic but it isn't at all what you might call flimsy and it is coloured to look like wood.
The foldy out bit that acts as the table has a raised edge to stop things falling off and a hole for a cup with plenty of room for a laptop. The actual table top is made of real wood and the whole thing doesn't look cheap at all. It cost me £42 plus postage and the bad news is that number one son arrives for a visit this week-end and I know he'll want to borrow it which usually means that I'll never see it again.
I guess that's what kids are for and why you're not allowed to hit them any more, lol
