Default Radiator Replacements

OK I'm in the process of working a deal to swap for my Bimmer for Dark Green over tan '97 Kitty with 174k clear coat peeling on the hood (bonnett but, runs and drives great and I'm hoping it will go through. I've searched through threads and I've seen no issues with the radiators for owners here. Just coolant hoses and thermostats being stuck open or a water pump here and there and honestly, I'm simply still amazed! My girlfriend is happy about my choice in a X300 Jag too!
Well, I go through ebay to source maintenance bits (comparably priced or cheaper than my Bimmer happy to say ) and the only radiators showing up is 1 or 2 and they are ridiculously expensive 1000 new (Ebay and Jagbits) and 500 used! WOW ! Is there a cross referenced radiator being used that I'm not aware of or are these units built that well to where they don't need to be replaced?

In the few years I have been on the forums, I have not seen much discussion of radiator replacement, other than accident related. Use the search function and see what you can find, but I don't think you will much to worry about, unlike some of the BMW's.

I've used the search tool and found nothing which was odd. Gotcha and that's a relief!! Thank you!

Flush the radiator when you first get the car, refill with 50-50 coolant and change it every two years and you'll be fine. I think the only big problems comes from neglect.
