I think I've narrowed down what the car (95 X300) is doing when it
shouldn't be doing things - radio stays on, seat still adjustable
up and down and mirrors adjustable, all with ignition off

Am I correct in thinking it should not do any of these things?
(Incidentally, windows don't work with ignition off)

I'm guessing from the circuit diagrams it's a stuck ignition relay
under one of the rear passenger heel boards, but unsure which one -
would anyone confirm my suspicion and advise? Any other
possiblities or suggestions?

I know that my passenger seat works all the time whether the key is in the car or not. Do you have subwoofers by any chance? Once my RCA cable had a stray wire going across and touching my power cable which made my radio stay on when I turned the car off once.

 

If it is your Ignition relay it's located in the LH Heelboard right next to the fuses..

Incidentally, despite the 'you're doomed, there's no hope' wailings from my local main dealer (used them as it was less than extra 30 quid for them to pick up, 'visually inspect' and take to MOT centre for test and return, Jacinta the Jag passed yesterday despite them saying no way, thousands to get up to scratch

But, decent folks that they are, returned her with two new gremlins - SRS light stays on and handbrake warning light no longer functioning

Waiting on full list of what they claim needs done which I'll doubtless post with their prices for a laugh - my local mechanic's boat payment for the next year is doubtless safe as I'll be using him
