Rear Diff. Fluid question
Hey folks-
Just a quick question about gear oil. My 96 XJ6 calls for sae 90 oil in the rear end, does that mean that 75/90 would work just fine, logic would tell me yes, but I just want to be sure before I do this, if not, I'll just get some 90 weight, but I would have to believe that 75/90 would work just as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks everybody, in advance.

I would go with the straight 90. These diffs are prone to bearing failure. Maybe if you were up North go with the other, but I would stick with the thicker stuff.
