Rear view mirror, is it normally clear?
In another thread I sought and received advice re' installing a new interior mirror after the common failure problem on my old one. Because the windshield brackets differed I split open the mirrors and transferred all the internal electrics including the new electrochromic mirror to my old one.
Everything appears to work, the green LED comes on and the mirror darkens as it's supposed to do. BUT, it's so long since my old one worked I've forgotten one thing, in normal daylight conditions is the mirror slightly dimmed or is it totally clear? If it should be totally clear in normal daylight use, then I've done something wrong in the installation. It's no big deal, but I'd like to know so I can try to sort it out if possible.
Thanks.
