Default Rear Wheel Bearing

I know its been awhile since I've posted. There was a vibration in the rear and I did not know what it was. I haven't had the time to work on the poor thing so it has just sat. So far I think I'll be keeping it for awhile, or indefinitely, haven't decided yet. Depends on how much more crap it gives me . I finally got to the bottom of the problem and noticed the right hand rear wheel bearing is shot. I've done some research on the forums and it does not seem like it is that difficult of a repair. There was something in there about it possibly being a differential bearing. While I've got it on the stands, how do I check for it? I appreciate the help you all have given to me and thanks in advance!

Grab the rear wheel at top and bottom, push and pull to determine the faulty bearing. The axle will move in and out of the diff if the stub axle bearing has failed.

The hub bearing will rock the OUTER axle U-Joint outer splined shaft up and down at the joint if the hub bearings have failed.

2 people are sometimes required to diagnose (You wiggle while I watch!!!!!)

I used to say this every time I wanted the mechanic next to me to help with diagnosis and eventually they stopped laughing!!
