Default Refitting the breather cover to the valve cover

So, I've picked up an extra valve cover, had it cleaned and powder coated and all set to install, BUT I need to refit that breather cover to the inside of it. Any suggestions? I had to cut back the rivets used to install it originally. How has anyone else who has undergone valve cover renewals reattached the breather cover?

Curious, why did you remove it?

I've got a longer term plan to refinish a cam/valve cover so wonder if/why it would be necessary to remove it.

The easiest way I would assume would be to get a rivet gun and put some rivets back in it. Not sure I would risk putting some nuts and bolts there in case they loosen up and fall onto the moving parts.
