Default Replacing front rotor need help

So I'm getting to replace my old rotors with new rotors. However I don't know if I did something wrong because my front rotors after taking them off still have the studs through the drill holes is there a way to separate and pull the studs out of the holes? I have attached a picture of my front rotors so you know what I'm talking about because as you'll notice in the pictures the holes are filled with the studs. Please help me figure what to do

What model Jaguar did those come from? It's not an 1995-1997 X300.

Looks like you have removed the centre hub nut and pulled the whole hub of the spindle. Did some bearings fall out when you removed it?

Exactly. Put a couple blocks of wood under the rotor's braking surface and wrap the studs with a rubber mallet. The hub will fall out. Might as well get new bearings, Timkin 7's and 9's, I think.

If you aren't going to get new wheel bearings like Tim suggested, I suggest you repack the old bearings with new grease.

Hi Travis,

Welcome to the Jaguar Forums!

First of all, please tell us the year and model of your Jaguar so we don't give you incorrect advice.

You've received some excellent advice already. You removed your center nuts which secure the hubs to the stub axles. You probably didn't need to do that to remove the brake rotors. Usually when the rotors are corroded to the hubs you can apply penetrating oil around the studs, let it soak for a while, then rap the rotor with a rubber mallet all around its perimeter until it breaks free.

But now that you have your hubs out, it really would be a good idea to replace the wheel bearings. They're inexpensive and easy to replace, and they tend to wear out more frequently on Jaguar saloons than on most other cars.

Below are links to photos showing the wheel bearing replacement process on our '93 XJ40, which is essentially identical to the '95-'96 X300s:

Ah, I see (based on the other responses) what happened and how those are the right rotors, just with the hubs still attached. .... gotcha.
