Default replacing power steering pump

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has replaced their power steering pump themselves. I am planning on getting to it within the week and just wanted to know if it was pretty straightforward as it seems or if theres anything I need to look out for, other things that need replacing when you replace the pump, or just anything i might need to know before I get to it. Thanks in advance

I strongly suggest getting your replacement pump with the adapter fitted (Coventry West) rather than the pump only (Rock Auto). That adapter can be a b***h to fit...
Remove the heat shield from the exhaust manifold and the rest of the job is a snap. Be mindfull of the plastic union that will fall on the garage floor when you remove the old pump - you need to use that with your new pump.

My instructions are for the AJ16 X300.
