Replacing Trunk Struts
My trunk hasn't been able to stay open for awhile now so I'm looking to get the struts replaced with Stabilus trunk struts.
Any idea how difficult they are too change yourself? I did some searching and found this:

you need to remove the mounts which hold the gas strut to the trunk.
Once these are off you can then press/or pull the small black clip out to remove it from the strut.
But when you buy the new struts for the trunk they should come with the new mounts.

Not at all. Get yourself a long screwdriver or pry bar to pop the inside ends off - easy to do. You can push the new ones on by hand and they're easy to press on. To install the strut on the right side of the trunk you have to move the electrical harness so you can get your hand up in the area where the strut end is - obvious as soon as you look in. It's a ten minute job tops.
Good luck
