Rims - detail question - oxidation on outer edges?
Hello all,
See picture below.
There is some oxidation on the outer edges of the rims that doesn't come off with plain washing.
Are those rims polished and lacquered? Any tips on how to get those as new again? They aren't damaged / no curb marks, there's just this weird substance on them.
Thanks for your opinions!
Edit: also any tips regarding detailing is very welcome. I followed a one day course at Meguiar's, and started claying, cutting, polishing, waxing, ... another car to try (I didn't feel comfortable using a polisher on this car at first!). I'm trying to get cheaper products though, Meguiar's cost an arm and a leg here. I've heard about chemical guys, poorboy's world, 3M, autoglym, ... Are there any good detailing forums you visit, where i can find a write-up about those kind of products?
Edit 2: I remember seeing a thread on here from someone who has refurbished the middle plug-in parts of the rims (the growlers with the red background). Can somebody reply wth a keyword so I can start looking for that thread again, as I have no idea what the correct word for those is? Thx!
