rims and tires

hello all,
just looking into buying some new rims for 95 xj6 vp and I was wondering if 8 in wide rims would be to wide?

I've moved this thread from the X350 XJ section to the X300 XJ section, your '95 XJ6 is an X300 model.

As for your wheel sizes, there were stock sizes of 16x8 and 17x8 fitted to the X300, so I can't see a problem with an 8" rim, so long as you get the offset right.
