Rotor Replacement
Hi,
I recently purchased a 96 XJ6. It drives almost as well as my 95 XJS.
Today I took a look at the brake system. I am definitely replacing pads all around. Which pads do you recommend? The calipers are all working correctly. The front rotors and one rear rotor have no cuts in them but the 4th one does have bad damage to it. The car has 101,000 and I am sure that the rotorss have been changed once and was wondering if I should replace all 4 rotors, both rear rotors or just the one bad rear rotor or maybe even just resurface the bad one? The car stops quite well and I guess with new pads all around I will see an improvement.
On a positive note, all the parts came apart very easily with no trouble. This easily was the easiest brake job I have ever done (I anticipate no problems putting this all back together).
Thanks,
Jomo
