Are these keys chipped?

 

Mine isn't.

Or, if it is, it self-programs. I had the Jag dealer make a key and mail it to me. The car starts and runs

I'm thinking the USA cars did not have chpped keys, just as they didn't have code lock radios. Canadian cars are probably the same but I can't swear to that

I know the American X300's aren't. The 308's are though. Since I believe the cars are mostly the same for the North American market...

 

North American spec X300's do not have immobilizer keys, rest of world do.
