I'm planning to replace it. Coz also I can not adjust the steering wheel for stock motor inside.
I need to budget and also want buy second hand radio original.
Guys can help me for the website can order items for Jaguar 1996 xj6 VDP? Thanks

The lower steering column motor has a gearbox / position sensor assembly that binds up from dried out grease

this assembly pops off with some engagement tabs

You can open it up and clean but be careful of the small parts inside

When you reinstall the position sensor it has to be " clocked "

You can run the motor back and forth with a battery charger but be careful as this is high current and arcing hazard , this is how you would clock it

Make some clip on pigtail wires to bring the connections out to you
