Talking Springs??

Is there any place I can get new springs that doesn't involve 650 bucks for a set from Jagbits.com? The years of salt have taken their toll on mine and they're looking pretty corroded. I can deal with surface rust, but they're staring to chip away. Plus they're original and I plan on doing ball joints and new Bilstein shocks all around soon. So this makes the most sense. Any other sites that I can get these from?

British Parts UK has some front and rear shocks (non-XJR) selling for GBP38 to 43 each. They are doing a online store special for XJR shocks, only GBP33 each. You can also get some good used ones from the UK breakers. A few months ago I bought a pair of rear XJR shocks from a breaker in the US dead cheap (US$45), but the real hit was shipment (US$130 to Hong Kong). It was interesting to know that the spring set was removed from an XK8 driven in the southern states (no salt) and has a Parts Number JLM12342 common with X300's XJR.

The sprigs have a soft coating on them that comes off that may throw you off as to what you are seeing . I considered myself cleaning and respraying with some Flexseal in a can product as well as the battery compartment and others .

A full set, brand new XJR springs front (JLM12340) and rear (JLM12342) have just come up on eBay.
Another set, also brand new, X300 (non-XJR) springs front (JLM 12163) and rear (JLM 12257) is also available.
The XJR set costs about GBP280; the non-XJR set costs GBP190. Being brand new seems pretty good value, although they would be expensive to ship from the UK.

Sandblasting and powder coating may help.
