Default SS Headers on AJ16S

I tried to search, and I didn't see any existing threads dedicated to these headers, so hopefully it's alright to make a new one.

I just wanted to post and say that the stainless steel headers I received from David (Link here: https://www.jaguarownersclub.com/for...ble-%C2%A3599/ ) are absolutely exceptional, and David himself is excellent to work with. The headers were packaged very well, and arrived way quicker than I expected they would. The fit and finish is sublime. (The collector doesn't fit for me, but that's because it's all siting in a Datsun, and is no way any fault of the header's design). Would 100% recommend to anyone considering a little style and performance in their engine bay!

I'm personally hyped, because now I can finally start making my engine mounts and not have to worry about anything getting in the way as a nasty surprise later. I'm sure, very soon, I'll be much more active with all kinds of questions on getting this powertrain up and running.

Thanks again, David!

Looks like these are in the UK and the cost is 599 UK. Wish they had them in the US because I bet shipping is pretty crazy

The shipping is very reasonable. I paid below $900 USD for headers and shipping. Considering I'd have had to pay for fabrication labor time to make a set on my own, and how expensive SS is getting to be, the cost was a no-brainer. David is excellent to work with, and can give you all the details.

So, I know there is an aluminum hose that plugs into it right next to the firewall on the backside of the rear header, and I assume it has something to do with emissions. Are you able to plug that back in? I'm looking around to see if they are in the US. I remember seeing someone making but not sure where it was, If I dont hear from anyone I will go ahead and purchase these because my rear manifold is cracked. What is funny is that when I got rid of Big Read, I sold three sets on eBay. If I would have only known.

You mean the absurdly long EGR delivery pipe? There is no direct provision for it on these headers, no. You could utilize one of the O2 bungs and adapters, possibly.

What is Big Read?

That was Big Red. That was my old XJ6. Without the EGR line I just don't think that will work
