Is there any way to fix the stripped out turnbuckle on the tilt and reach mechanisims on the steering column? Has anyone ever tried inserting a Helicoil?



This is what I got from a breaker. Obviously the turnbuckle is toast and the rings of theads mean it's not long for this world.

this is the original column. so i've got access to the nylon turnbuckle and also found this serated split pin down in the housing around the turnbuckle's saddle. i also found one in the buggered replacement column that is being retuned to the breaker. anyone know where it goes, i can't see any receiving holes anywhere. looking for a method of joining steel to nylon for the helicoil insert. ideas? how about this product? https://tbbonding.com/glue-nylon/
