Weird question... I'm trying to remove bracket #8 so I can see the waterpump hoses, trying to trace a leak. I took all 4 bolts out, can't feel any more, no more shown in the diagram. But it absolutely will not budge. Pry bars, hammering, bit of heat. No dice. Am I missing something? Currently pulling the thermostat housing off for more access but I thought I'd ask.
Not the tensioner, the idler bracket, this guy here. I think what's happened is, one of the bolts sheared off. I can pivot the bracket around that last bolt shank, by prying or hammering it. It takes a lot of force just to rotate. But for whatever reason I can't pull it off, even though the head of the bolt is gone. There shouldn't be anything holding it on the remaining bolt shank.
With the thermostat housing out of the way, and swiveling this thing around, I think I have enough visibility for now.
