The 95 -96 years is where they introduced the airbags noted by the SRS label above the glove compartment
The airbag system was added by noting yellow colored wire conduits , you can peek at the very front grill inboard and center of the headlights to see the impact sensors with the yellow conduit ( there are also 2 other square sensors in the area related to headlights ) . also above the engine ECU going up along the cars far right wall is airbag system component added
You should be able to slightly lift real wood panel above glove box containing passenger air bag , it shouldn't blow
Ensure it has a XJR specific engine ECU located on the cars far right near the right front door hinge under a small cover , would be hard to find but Andy ( XJREngineer ) on the original Jaguar X300 engine design team may be able to upgrade a common non - supercharged into a supercharged ECU , same hardware and internals just different data maps to swap . He has 2 XJRs to extract data maps and test updated ECU on as sure done before
Inspect washer fluid reservoir for cracks / curb damage before installing bumper
While rear seat pan up check with common meter the rear wheel speed sensors ( 1300 ohms ) ( about 1 volt AC spinning by hand the rear wheel in the correct direction ) and the terminal nuts under a black triangle on the cars right ( mega fuses )
