Temperature gauge and Oil pressure gauge stopped working
I changed the battery of my X300 and now both the Temperature gauge and Oil pressure gauge are on zero with engine running. There was a small sparking when I connected the positive terminal on the battery but this I think is pretty normal, however I checked the fuses in the L/H Heel fuse box F5 and F12 and both are OK.
Any ideas what the fault is?
Thanks.

There is a 3rd fuse in the left heelboard fuse box
Ask me how I know
Watch for the odometer , radio , and alternator voltage reading above 12.75 volts or the alternator light
See page 21

# 16 trunk fuse box
This relies on the trunk fuse box relay to close
You can have the key in the run position with the engine not running and pulling the relay it will click in your fingers back open
There may still be a 3rd one in the left heelboard , but I may have that confused with the radio

Thanks for replies I will bear these in mind in future however it looks like a false alarm on my part. I took the car for a run and after about 5km both gauges kicked in and working normally. It would appear the car didn't like being without any power for a day whilst I got a new battery. I didn't really expect the run to achieve anything as I had ran the engine twice for about 2-3 minutes each time but it obviously needed longer.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.
