Smile Is there a difference in Seat Memory modules?

Hello fellow jag friends
I own a Jaguar XJ6 x300 and I'm loving it. Recently my passenger seat has stopped working (would only move in one direction)
And parts for this particular model are difficult to find in my country, so i resort to looking for parts online. E-bay.

I have found two modules which according to the seller are compatible with my car, but the part numbers are slightly different.

The one i original owned is the first one.
LNA 2165 AD

LNA 2165 AA

Just wanna ask and confirm whether there is a difference between the two? And whether they are really compatible?
As once i purchase it, and it isn't compatible with my car, it would be a BIG hassle to send it back for my refund(might take over two months to get a refund back)
Thanks for any replies

Welcome to the forum garethlye,

The Seat Module is programmable and matched to the vehicle specification so getting a used replacement takes more than just sourcing one from the same Model Year.

The Parts Catalogue for X300 details the Seat Module (item 6) as follows:

It's possible to use a module with a later suffix provided the vehicle it comes out of has the same features as your own.

When you get a minute, please follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...-intro-must-5/ to the New Member Area - Intro a MUST section and post some info about yourself and your vehicle for all members to see. In return you'll get a proper welcome and some useful advice on posting to the forum.

If you're mechanically inclined, you might go to this thread, where it shows the module dis-assembly and some recommended fixes. You might not have to spend the money on another used module that may have the same problems you are having.

Thanks for the reply,
Well I did send the car to a Jaguar Specialist about the problem and he confirms that a part of the module isn't working anymore. He did tell me what it was, but I didn't know what/which part that was..

Odd part about the two modules, is that they are both in used working condition yet the prices are a little far apart. Which is why I dont want to make a mistake buying the wrong one

Default Driver seat is crazy

HI I have replaced the modals for the seat and mirrors and steering wheel. The memory chime works but the memory does not. When I put the car in park the seat goes up and back and I wind up in the back seat. Besides the mirrors all move around. When I open the door the seat starts moving again. The steering wheel moves up and in. I have taken the battery post off and put it back on but no change. It takes a good while to adjust the seat mirrors and steering wheel If I cant fix it I guess Ill just unhook it all.

Any help would be appreciated

I think the module may have to be programmed to the memory etc. I posted here recently about a problem with my drivers seat and got some good replies. One of which included a link on the procedure to set up the seat memory. Maybe do a search of my posts and you will find it. It may help.

turn off the auto, and program #2 or #3 to a good "exit" position
