Time for an oil change this week-end and I have time to do it.

Where is the best place to jack it with the trolley ?

The jacking points are what I use, with the safety stands alongside which is obviously the undersill area (out of sight unless you are under the car), BUT, if the car falls off the jack and the body gets bent a bit (underneath) and you are alive, who really cares?????.

Secondly I use the main suspension cradle and then the safety stands on the jacking points. Be a tad careful with that area coz it is easy to jack on the wrong area and bend something. Not that hard when you get down and dirty and look at what you are doing.

I use "drive-up-on" ramps.

Believe it or not, you can park your jag on a flat level surface and change the oil easily without jacking it up at all!!! Also safer this way. Remove oil filter from the top

Good to know about removing oil filter from top...

The oil change didnt go ahead as I couldnt get the sump plug out...

I was trying loads of things, when the car comes back from the paint shop I will try again I will get it to a garage up on a ramp and loosen it then tighten it up and drive it back home to do the job....
