Hello everyone,

I am searching for a tool that will allow me to perform O2 sensor orientation and TPS calibration and wondering if this one that I found on ebay fits the bill?

What protocol does the X300 ECU use to communicate with tools that can setup O2 sensor orientation and see TPS values?

I went through this with my car a couple years ago
The elm-scan wont work

I had to take mine to the shop lucky my Indie has the factory diagnostic for the x 300 otherwise it would have had to go to the dealer that would have really hurt

my Indie charged me 50 bucks to do it

Depending where you are there might be some one on the forum that can point you in the right direction

 

AFAIK only the official Jaguar diag equipment will do this, as Doc says. The dealer closest to me wants $200, FWIW

Some top-end independent diagnostic equipment such as Autologic will perform lambda orientation and throttle adaption, but this equipment is too expesnive for just DIY use. It will need to probably need to be configured specifically for Jaguar applications.
