Default traction control failure

is it safe to drive what do I do?

Yes it's safe to drive. Are there any other lights or messages, like ASC or ABS related?
It could be a wheel speed sensor , connecting cable or abs module problem. It means your wheels will not be prevented from breaking loose by the management system, you'll have to do it yourself until it's fixed. Even a weak battery could cause an error like that to be displayed. Use the search function to find threads dealing with the subject.

Generic code readers will not find abs related codes, so a trip to the dealer or independent repair shop would be required. Many of us would rather attempt to isolate the problem and repair it before resorting to that expense.
