I have noticed that sometimes, early in the morning or after letting the car sit for 8+ hours, that when I start it up and try to shift down to either drive or reverse it won't let me. It almost feels like it's not letting me press the brake down enough to release it. Anyone else have any sort of similar problem?

 

Check that all your brake lights are working and of correct wattage as a blowen bulb can inhibit moving out of park, just one of those quirks
