Trunk replacement
Another thing on my to-do list for fixing up my car is getting the trunk lid replaced. It was hit in a collision (one of the prior owners); it latches and seals, but it isn't flush with the rest of the car. I don't have a photo of the actual damage to upload (at the moment), but can anyone tell me if it's better/more cost effective to repair it, or just get a new one? Regarding replacement, where do you recommend I go to get a new one (online or in person)?

With a rear end impact it's likely to be bowed? Without seeing pic of the extent of the damage, can't be certain but it's almost impossible to rectify this kind of damage satisfactorily.
You'll get a fright at the Jaguar cost for a replacement if still available. A good used part is your best option.
Given the size, shipping would be costly. Try asking the question in the Regional Southern MidWest - AR LA MS KY TN AL - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum section. Someone may know of a nearby source.

There's a lot of distortion in that panel and, being double skinned, it's going to be impossible to make it even look right without a load of filler.
The fittings all appear to be re-useable although the hinges are likely to be twisted. Lowest cost and easiest repair has to be to source a used replacement. Fortunately they are all the same panel regardless of X300 model spec so you don't need to specifically search for one from a VDP.

I could use a green on for my 96, and I'm driving form Pittsburgh to Atlanta for Thanksgiving. Might be worth a day trip with my pop. Do you have the name of the place?

Pull-a-part is a chain of junkyards. Go to www.pullapart.com to see their locations. You can view inventory on their site but there is no way to find out if the part you want is still with the car without going there and laying eyes upon it. Bring requisite tools, too. It ain't called pull-a-part for nothing. I got an a/c compressor for my '97 for $18.
