Default twin-screw supercharger upgrade for 6 cyl XJR ?

Has anyone come across an upgraded XJR supercharger?
I read this interesting article from AJ6 Engineering yesterday-

PRESENT-DAY SUPERCHARGING - EXPEDIENCY OR EFFICIENCY? / AJ6 Engineering

I then emailed a couple of companies which make twin screw compressors (Vortex Superchargers, and Opcon) but both replied they don't have a kit for any Jags.

I see some of the XKR V8 guys have done some twin-screw upgrades with impressive results.

I wondered if such an upgrade would be possible on the AJ16 engine?
presumably ECU, flowmeters etc would need modifying to cope..

This is surely a topic that Andy (XJREngineer) could weigh in upon as he has done a lot of research and work in the area of SC upgrades, etc.

But in theory this sounds very interesting.

For folks that have lots of time to tinker and experiment it would be a fun project.

But to really be attractive for most owners like me who use their car as a daily driver, a bolt-on "kit" would be preferable either as an actual kit one can buy, or a set of specs and parts one would follow as an OEM class retrofit.

It will be interesting to see how/if this progresses for the X300. I suspect any development though will focus on the X308 and later models first though, but we'll see.

It would be an interesting project.

From a purely practical standpoint, though.....

XJR/6 owners wanting more power surely can't ignore the ease and affordability of simply stepping up to a V8 XJR....which is much faster than the XJR/6 without any mods at all and, if I'm not mistaken, has at least some amount of aftermarket support already in place for future power upgrades.

Of course some have a deep admiration and love for the straight-six engine and don't get me wrong....I have full appreciation for that sentiment. A "big straight six" and "Jaguar" just naturally go together, like hand-in-glove.

Cheers
DD

It is technically possible. I know of at least 3 owners (myself included) who have replaced the std Eaton M90 supercharger with a lower displacement device, though not necessarily a Lysholm screw design. However, this is a major engineering project. I don't know of any companies that offer such a kit, and think it is unlikely that anyone would offer one now, as demand would almost certainly be quite low.

thanks, Andy
It would be a fun project, but I dont have the time or the local expertise where I live to pursue this

However I have just bought a new spare M90 from ebay

Supercharger Eaton M90 Jaguar XJR XJ6 X300 1994 1997 | eBay

I have made a separate post about this, as there may be 1 or 2 more available
