Who repairs exhaust manifolds using braze welding?
I decided to repair my exhaust manifolds using braze welding. I am looking for someone experienced, ideally someone who can guarantee their work. I'll pay extra to the person who will teach me how to do i too. I am located in New England.
Brazing exhaust manifolds will produce at best a temporary repair in most cases, too hot an item during use and way too hard to clean properly make it one of those hit or miss ( mostly miss) jobs that few will take on and probably fewer yet will warrantee.
I have heard from some people who had pretty good luck braze welding the exhaust, so I am willing to give it a shot. If use anti-seize is used to bolt the manifolds on, they are not difficult to remove.
Any idea whether the new manifolds from Exhaust | Jaguar X300 - XJR | British Parts UK are any good? At 140 GBP they do seem to be quite a bit cheaper than various other vendors.
