Yes, they will fit. Some people have made the swap. IIRC, you'll want to replace the whole setup, and not just the lenses.

Hey thanks for the response. What do u mean by saying changing the whole setup and not just the lenses. I dont wanna go crazy with changing wiring and spending alot of money. Cant u just plug in the same bulbs into the lenses?? Thanks.

You do need to cut and shut the wiring but its not all that difficult. Mine were a pig to romover the headlights from the bracket but well worth the effort imho

Yes, and i swapped mine out, they take differant bulb and connectors. Bulbs and connectors are avail on partsgeek.com for $5-6each and just butt connect them. I would also have the lenses covered in clear bra cause theyre glass too and not cheap to replace when you get a rock in them

Now, on the other hand, is it possible to go to aftermarket halogen housings like Cibie or Bosch quads on a X308 without too much surgery?

Fronts of course

so what if I just replace the lenses and not the wiring, cant I just slip the bulb into the socket and turning them just like on the the x300 lense. I have a hid system in the car right now....

No youll never get the glass apart. Theyre not plastic and heatable to soften the urethane. The glass ones are sealed differantly and ive tried to take apart a broken couple of glass lenses when it converted mine over to take hid projectors out of an stype so i have focused light, not scattered

Arghhhhhhh ....

One of the issues is going to be completely different aiming provisions, not to mention retention methods. But come to think of it, if the studs could be mounted on the back of the reflectors ... the aiming problem goes away.

It would be nice to go back to Cibies though.

It would essentially be cost free if the good stock units can be sold.
