'97 XJ6 VDP, I finally decided to get my windshield replaced due to a rock chip and 2" crack right in my view. I went online to get a couple of quotes and the first one was for $1100 for an OEM replacement that had to be shipped from Atlanta. I ended up getting it done for $292. I guess the moral of the story is to shop around.
