windshield wiper doesn't work

Help, no manual in 96 XJ6 and windsheild wiper will not work. fuse????

Does the wiper move? I know it sounds stupid, but the nut came come loose holding the arm on. Turn wipers on and see if it feels like its moving at pivot under wiper arm. If not, 2 relays front left by headlight, look the same, swap them around and see if works then.

I had the same problem. Turned out to be a broken wire at the steering column.

Wilder follow up

Gents: I elected to go with the Rain X silicone blades. They were pricier but I think they'll last longer ultimately. Anyway, a word for the wise: some of the auto parts references out there don't have the correct blade sizes listed. So, make sure to double check with the manual or ask someone at the store to verify the size.
